Fitbit Local San Diego June 2018 Workout - Alexan

For the June 2018 installment of Fitbit Local San Diego, ambassadors Mike Sherbakov and Sheri Matthews Kimmel brought the crew to downtown San Diego and the swanky Alexan residential complex. As an added bonus, this event took place on a Tuesday, so there was tacos after the workout and dance party.

Sarah and Alex dance to “Reminder” for their first dance at Tower 23.

Sarah and Alex had the perfect soundtrack to their wedding, which took place on June 9, 2018 at Tower 23. Their first dance was Mumford & Sons’, Reminder and for the first time in a handful of “Sarah” brides, I finally had one dance to “Sara Smile” for her first dance.

Michelle and Cameron’s Destination Wedding at the San Diego Botanic Garden

Michelle and Cameron pose by a fountain after their wedding ceremony at the San Diego Botanic Garden.

Michelle and Cameron made their special day a destination wedding for them and many of their guests. And there’s not much of a better place in North County San Diego than the San Diego Botanic Garden.

There were some great musical highlights as well, which included a Polynesian dance (led by Michelle) and some interesting covers for their first dance and the father/daughter dance.

Michelle’s musician dad, and a total rocker, chose to dance with his daughter to Sweet Child ‘O Mine. This would have been epic with Gun ‘n’ Roses, but he found a sweet, acoustic, mellow version. A version I had never heard before.

And for their first dance, Michelle and Cameron chose the classic Elvis Presley tune, Can’t Help Falling In Love. However, it was a version performed by 21 Pilots.

Asian Business Association Organizes Second Taste of Asia - Four Points Sheraton

For the second year in a row, the Asian Business Association of San Diego organized the Taste of Asia on May 15, 2018. This event brings various San Diego restaurants under one roof to delight the taste senses of the more than 200 attendees.

Attendees enjoyed delicious sips and bites from breweries and spirit purveyors to established and up-and-coming restaurants. Samples included everything from poke, ramen, Kalua pork tostada, pad thai, hot oil wontons, chocolate liquor, dumplings and ube cake.

Kevin and Denise were married at the Lodge at Torrey Pines on April 28, 2018.

Denise and Kevin celebrated a beautiful wedding at the Lodge at Torrey Pines in San Diego. For their first dance, they choose “Lights Down Low” a sweet pop song that was a perfect start to the evening.

It was clear their guests were ready to dance as soon as dinner wound down, because they actually did just that before the floor was officially opened up. I certainly was not going to stop them.
