I’ve DJ’d/MC’d many weddings at the Hotel Del Coronado during the past 15-plus years, but this one might have been the most beautiful. From the ceremony all the way through the reception, it was beautifully designed fairy tale showcasing the love of Makenna and Daniel for their June 16, 2018 wedding.
For their first dance, they chose the Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s duet, “The Rest of Our Life.” A sweet song, with the perfect lyrics for a young couple starting their journey in life.

To get the dance floor started, Makenna had a great idea to play a song for her mom, as we transitioned out of the Father/Daughter dance. This was a great idea, as she noted that the mother of the bride usually doesn’t have a designated dance for her.
So we played, naturally, “Mom,” by Meghan Trainor. This was a fun way to kick off the night.
