Creative Mornings Celebrates Three Years In San Diego at Luce Loft

On January 26, 2018, the San Diego chapter of Creative Mornings celebrated its 3 year anniversary with a bash at Luce Loft in downtown San Diego. Activities included custom screen prints, Snake Oil Cocktail Co. signature drinks and of course some good beats all around.

For the past three years, Creative Mornings has put together networking events in San Diego that have brought out inpiring guest speakers that present a wide range of topics.

Their website describes the events as “a monthly breakfast lecture series for creative types (including entrepreneurs, developers & crafters). The aim for Creative Mornings San Diego is to bring people from different creative disciplines together to launch more awesome into the world.”

Sheri Matthews Kimmel and Mike Sherbakov lead a Fitbit Local San Diego workout at the Bay Club.

Fitbit Local San Diego traveled to inland North County for January and took over the Bay Club in Carmel Valley. There was plenty of sweat during the boot camp style workout led by Sheri Matthews Kimmel and then a nice cool down with Mike Sherbakov.

As a nice treat for all those who attended, each were given a day pass to use the Bay Clubs amazing fitness facility.

Pacific Marine Credit Union celebrated at the Cape Rey resort in Carlsbad. Uplighting in the room added to the design of the Mardis Gras theme.

Pacific Marine Credit Union celebrated at the Cape Rey resort in Carlsbad. Uplighting in the room added to the design of the Mardis Gras theme.

Back again with the employees of Pacific Marine Credit Union for their annual holiday party. This years theme was Mardis Gras. This give me a the chance to spin some New Orleans Jazz as well as local San Diego band, Euphoria Brass Band.

After a cocktail and dinner hour of jazz, it was time to turn things up on the dance floor with a mix of new and old school jams. The slow motion video booth was set up as well, and the PMCU employees never dissapoint.

The 2017 event season closed out in fine fashion with Kate and Brittany’s wedding, a small gathering of their closest family and friend on December 30, 2017. It took place at Solterra Winery and Kitchen, located in Leucadia, California.

Kate and Brittany are friends of mine, and in fact, Kate and I were discussing how she might be the leader in San Diego for most DJ Kanoya events attended. Between fitness events and other weddings, she’s been at a large handful.

But this event was the most important and turned into a wonderful celebration of love. From high energy dances, to Wilson Phillips sing alongs, I had as much fun as their guests.
