Since I've been a working wedding DJ in San Diego (for nearly 15 years) there's one thing I have always wanted to do ... incorporate a choreographed dance routine as part of a wedding party grand entrance.
These dances are nothing new. In fact, I have been part of weddings where they have happened a few times. But it was generally an idea of the bride and groom, maybe they are dancers themselves and/or have been part of dance crews. And if their wedding party were also dancers, then it might have been their gift to the bride and groom.
But on July 30, 2016, it was a DJ Kanoya original, thanks to my new intern, Nikki. She and five other friends put together a short piece, to the song the bride and groom - Jessica and Greg - wanted to enter to. They didn't let the fact that this downtempo reggae beat by the Collie Buddz deter them.
In fact they nailed it. And I can't wait to do more of these. Check it out!
