On the final day of the Lululemon Conference, October 8, 2015, I was scheduled to play one set during the day, which was the morning breakfast. The plan, again, was to play some upbeat house tracks. But on that morning, I wasn’t feeling it. I also was worried about playing repeat tracks -- which likely no one would have noticed -- but there tends to be some genre fatigue (I think I just made that up) especially when playing for the same group of people for two straight days.
As the breakfast started to unfold, and there were just a handful of people early on, I decided to play something acoustic. At that point, I just felt that was the vibe to go with, so I played similar tunes and eventually worked my way into a little pop. And I also got to live out a tiny little dream, play a Barenaked Ladies track in the country of Canada during a live gig.
